Ray Wenderlich

As you may know, our friends at Five Pack Creative run live in-person classes based on the materials you know and love at ALT-U.

In the past year, they’ve run several classes from beginner to advanced, and they’ve been a hit!

Today, we have some exciting news: for the first time ever, ALT-U is offering some of their classes in a live online format.

Simply sign up for the class you’re interested in, and you can follow along live with the instructor, from the comfort of your own home.

Keep reading to learn more about the three upcoming classes, and how to get a special discount for readers.

First Three Classes

ALT-U is kicking off their live online training with three options:

  • Advanced iOS Debugging (July 24, 2017 at 1PM CST): Dive deeper into crucial debugging skills for the iOS platform. Move beyond simple breakpoints and log statements, and discover how to leverage Apple’s tools to better debug and track down advanced issues within your applications.
  • Auto Layout (August 25th, 2017 at 10am CST): Understanding the ins and outs of auto layout for iOS can be tricky. In this course we will answer the questions “How does auto layout work” and “Why is auto layout needed” so you can increase your confidence with building rich user interfaces that look and work great across multiple devices and orientations.
  • Instruments (September 16th, 2017 at 10am CST): Using Instruments effectively is an essential skill for iOS developers to move to the next level. In this course you will learn how to profile your app’s performance with Time Profiler and discover some strategies for speeding things up within your app.

ALT-U’s live online training is great if you’re the type of person who learns best by having access to a live instructor to ask questions to, and enjoys interacting with fellow students.

Where To Go From Here?

The folks at ALT-U have bene kind enough to offer a 15% off discount for readers.

Simply select your course and then enter the following discount code: LEARNMORE17

Note that the discount expires on July 14, so be sure to snag it while you still can.

We hope you enjoy the new live online training offerings from ALT-U!
