Just a quick question: are the projects in this line all using ARC and up to date with iOS5? I assume they are, just want to make sure.

I bought iOS5 by example and it was the best $44 I've spent yet on iOS development. I'm pretty sure I know most of the content of the apprentice series, but I'd like an excuse to give you guys some more money, and it's always good to look at more code... if I learn a nugget or two that I didn't already know, it will be worth the price.

Are you going to do a more advanced book at some point?

Yes, all the iOS Apprentice tutorials use ARC and are for iOS 5 and up.

Thank you for the GREAT tutorials! I've only completed the first one, but, for the first time, actually understand (mostly) what's going on. This is the breakthrough I've been searching for on the road to "real" iOS app development. :D

Awesome tutorial! I've just completed part 1 (in one day, it was compelling) and immediately purchased the full course. Looking forward to more awesomeness.

Hope to be getting some apps in the App Store soon!!!

Hey, I got access to the The iOS Apprentice 1 - Getting Started .zip file for joining the newsletter. I can read it on a Mac, but how do I read it on an iPad. Thanks!

@deathrat Currently the only way is to print to PDF from your browser and then put those PDFs files on your iPad. We're working on getting a real PDF version, though (but that may take a little while, so don't wait for it).

Thanks so much, iOS Apprentice series is a great shot in the arm for a newbie. I really appreciate the clear direction and guidance you are providing.
Question: for those of us that have bought the series, could you post the text segments in an ePub format for iPad etc. use?
Thanks.

I haven't gotten around to producing an ePub version (it's harder than you think) but the latest downloads (v1.3) do contain PDFs that will make reading on your iPad a bit easier. You can find the downloads in the respective sub-forums.
