Thanks a lot for your time and effort in making this tutorial :D . Making my apps backward compatible with earlier screen sizes and iOS versions was exactly what I was looking for when upgrading to the iPhone 5 screen size.Thanks again for providing the perfect solution.

Awesome job Adam. Clear and very practical. Thank you for the hard work you put into this! Autolayout is something I've been avoiding, but now I'm convinced it's worthwhile learning to use.

Thanks a lot for this clear tutorial!
However i have one question; where must i put this lines of code in my .m file:

if (IS_IPHONE5) {
self.ibBackgroundImage.image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"bg_wall-568h.png"];
self.ibCounter.image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"bg_counter-568h.png"];
}

Becouse i can't find the "viewWillAppear:" in my code.
Thanks

Really loved reading this tutorial, can you tell me how to run the not skinned version of the simulator ?
I'm targeting iphone 4 users with iOS 7
When I run the project on the simulator I get the non-Retina 3.5 instead of the simulator that has the main button to close the app and stuffs...
Looks trivial question, what am I missing?

hi,
my app is designed for iPhone5 only, but i want to support an iPhone4 as well. Do i need to provide 2 kind of images for different dimensions? Let say Default–568h@2x.png with dimension of 640x1136 for iPhone5 and Default-@2x.png with dimension of 640x960 for iPhone4.
