I have some exciting news – we’re doing something really special for our Reader’s Apps this December.

Instead of my normal review column, we’re going to be giving away some awards for the best reader’s apps released throughout the whole year!

And this time it won’t just be me looking at your apps. We will have a panel of judges to help me out:

  • Great idea, guys. Loving iOS 6 by Tutorials so far, btw. It helped me implement iOS 6's Social Framework into my app, Critix, (which has already been entered and mentioned back in October) in literally just a few hours. Keep up the good work :D

  • Thanks Ryan,

    Great new for us.

I have already submitted my app but not sure either you got it or not. Just wanted to make sure you have my app.

    App Name: BallsBreaker

  • This is an awesome idea. I love Readers App Reviews series, it's really interesting to see how people use the knowledge taken from the tutorials on this website.

  • Hi Ryan,

That sounds like an awesome idea! We were lucky enough to be reviewed by you in April 2012 and were wondering if anything needed to be submitted for updates to be included in the running. Please let us know.

This site and the tutorial books are our first point of contact when finding out how to do something. The content is amazing, and to us, is really a prize in itself. Thanks for all the great stuff and keep it up!

Too true, this place has saved me hundreds of hours of trial and error trying to interpret apple's reference docs.

  • Darn! I just submitted my app today for App Store review and decided to check if there would be a Readers' App Reviews this month. I had my previous app featured back in August here. It is called Brush Strokes. Now, I'm coming out with Brush Strokes 2 and I was really hoping for this. But it's no big deal. Good luck to all those who submitted their apps! Thanks to Ray and the team for all you guys do. I could have never gotten where I am today (with the Brush Strokes series) without you guys!

Also, does anyone know if there will be a Readers' App Reviews for December, or does this one end the year? Thanks in advance!

  • Hey everyone! I'm excited about the Readers' App Awards 2012!

There will not a be a December Reviews Column. This takes its place. See you in August :]

If you've submitted your app this year then your app is already in the running! :) No need to do anything special. If you've released an update chances are I've already downloaded it and have been playing in my spare time :]

But if you have a new app coming out in the next DAY you could squeak it in for a chance at an award this year :] Otherwise I'd love to see it in January!

    Happy Thanksgiving!!
