iOS 5 By Tutorials Book update now available - final version!

This is just a quick note that we’ve finally finished the tech reviews for iOS 5 by Tutorials, and the final version is now available!

You can find the download link for the updated version in the private iOS 5 By Tutorials Official Forum. If you have not yet registered to get access to the private forum, you can do so here.

We may have minor updates moving forward for any more errata people find, etc. but other than that the book is pretty much set.

Other than that, we are going to start investigating making the book available on Amazon.com, Kindle Store, iBooks store, etc. next, but no promises as it depends on cost, etc.

Also, note that since the book is complete, the special discount price will be ending and we’ll be moving to the final price of $54. However, we’ll keep the discount price available until sometime tomorrow so last minute shoppers have one last chance ;]

Thanks to everyone who purchased iOS 5 by Tutorials, we hope you enjoyed the book! :]

  • Hi there,
    i bought the book a couple of weeks ago, and i am really loving it.
    However, trying to download the new updated version, i encountered a couple of problems.

    Whenever i try to login with my purchase-email, it tells me that no purchase can be found for my email.
    I think that is why i don't have permission when clicking the direct link to the download.

    What can i do?

  • Hi. I bought your book and there was intermediate Twitter there. That was a really nice book. However, sending a reply tweet was not discussed there. Please help.

    Thanks

  • On page 527, it shows you how you can send a statuses/update command to Twitter. If you look at the docs for this command, you'll see there's an optional n_reply_to_status_id value you can set:

    * https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1/post/statuses/update

    Also note that the tweet must contain @username at the beginning of the tweet, where @username is the Twitter account for the person you're replying to.

    Hope this helps,

  • I really appreciate your tutorials and their completeness. The iOS 5 by tutorials interests me and I want to purchase it however I am hesitating since it would not be as convenient as if I could get it in ebook ( Kindle format). I have one book that I purchased in the kindle format ( I also purchased the hard book copy) and it is really convenient. One thing I really like is that the author has updated the kindle version and I have it. However since the hard book copy did not get errata sheets it is not as useful. (how I get errata sheets off the website I purchased it I don't know). As you can see I vote for the kindle format.
